Howard Cossell was of the view that “The ultimate victory in competition is derived from the inner satisfaction of knowing that you have done your best and that you have gotten the most out of what you had to give”.
To inculcate the same spirit amongst the law students across the country, we are delighted to inform that Symbiosis Law School, Noida is proud to organize First Symbiosis National Moot Court Competition, 2014 with the support of London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) India. It is a unique opportunity for students seeking to gain experience in the development of arguments in the field of arbitration laws and insurance laws.
The Moot Court Competition seeks to expose the competitors to the developing frontiers of Insurance law and foster in them a deeper understanding of the issue confronting the world today. The Moot proposition has been put together so as to create a unique blend of substantial questions pertaining to Law of Insurance and Law of Arbitration.
We invite universities from all over the country having an interest in insurance and arbitration law to send a team to the competition which will be held from September 19-21, 2014. The compromis is enclosed below. Each University may send in a team to the competition which will last for 3 days, including semi-final and final rounds. The Rules and Regulations are also enclosed herein.
The hurdles to the path of victory, do not end only with a complex moot proposition and competitors across the nation, the participants would also be presented with the opportunity to argue before the greatest Academicians, Honourable Judges, practicing lawyers and partners to reputed law firms. Apart from that, a Researcher’s Test is also being organized pertaining to the moot proposition as the backbone of a good legal argument is the legal research done for it, keeping in mind the indispensable nature of legal research.
To increase the incentive for the students to put their best foot forward, the Winning team will be awarded with prizes worth Rs. 50,000 and the Runners Up with prizes worth Rs. 30,000. The Top-notch Memorial will be awarded with prizes worth Rs. 15,000. The First and Second Best Speaker will be facilitated with prizes worth Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 7,500 respectively.
