Some refer to it as an institution we call it our home, they say they are teachers I call them awakeners, they call us students I believe we are the leaders under construction, they say great writing starts with great quotes but Symbians establish their own quotes. Experience is not just what I have gained at Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA so far, but its values, beliefs, strength, confidence, that have added onto my personality through my new home. Talking of what Symbiosis has more to add in me, I'm reminded of my first day at Symbiosis Law School, Noida how much pride I take in calling this my institution is beyond words.

My heart beating with a speed of light as I rush through the gates of SLS, the tick-tock of my watch never ending, rushing through the stairs all that I could think of is ' time waits for none' and how can I forget the only question in my head " why me god?" and finally the gates of the moot court hall felt paradise only when I realized I was not late at all. At first it was all alien to me but even I don't know which second the same aliens turned into my awesome friends. Nobody else can make you feel more at home than our respected Director Sir, and what could be better than knowing on your first hour that you're nowhere far but at your own home, best part being in a family of 180 members. The number of cells Symbiosis has cannot be compared to a rainbow, cause it yet has less colors and adding on of the literature society proves the same. Such a large family needs days of introduction and so did we, but after the brief orientation started my journey as a Symbian.

My first class, reminds me of Aristotle as he says "children must be taught how to think, not what to think" which I believe is the best definition for Jurisprudence and Salim Sir. This is how I started with my very own interpretations of law. Whatever the cost of our library, the price is cheap compared to an ignorant bunch of students getting nightmares seeing thousands of books at the same place, no wonder our teachers have their own magical ways of sending each to the library. I can’t help but mention how awesome each class is, whether its Director Sir's warm welcome to the late comers which is often addressed as " Aren't you too early for the next class? " and is replied as " I'm so sorry sir lot of traffic ", or our accounts class where Pushpa ma'am shows the magical result of education the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to whether you like it or not. It would not do justice to my writing if I didn't mention about my favorite class and teacher, Shailja ma'am, who can be best described with the words of Plato, " do not train a child to learn by force or harshness, but direct them to do it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy, the peculiar bent of the genius of each".

In the middle of all the knowledge being imparted of the world, we partied, nowhere else but in our very own freshers party. The two words that i have for it is wild and awesome, where hidden talents were discovered, new meted the old, and we all together danced like there's no tomorrow. Some say party and professionalism go hand in hand and so the first tutorial knocked our door that I welcomed with frown and sweat, which was eased by the words "it’s an open book" only when we realized it is because there was nothing from the book. This is when for the first time it struck me SCHOOL'S OVER. But the challenges are welcomed with a munch of the awesome food and snacks offered by the canteen. And what can be more educative than the extension guest lecture series, where I was in person with renowned people like, Mr. Hardeep Sachdeva, partner at AZB and partners rated as India's leading corporate and M&A lawyer, and Mr. Ajay Thomas, Registrar London Court of International Arbitration (India) and many more.

So much in a month for sure is impossible but in this esteemed institution it was made possible. I can write almost a book on this institution in a month, 5 years down the line I'm sure to be producing volumes. As Issac Newton puts it "if I have seen farther than others, it’s because I was standing on the shoulder of giants". And here is my institution, my identity, Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA creating a bunch of thoughtful, concerned giants ready to take a big leap in changing the world.

Proud to be a Symbian!
